Wayne STATE YDSA

We are the Wayne State University chapter of the Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA). YDSA is the youth and campus-affiliated wing of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the largest socialist organization in the United States with 100,000 members nationwide. We are one of nearly 200 chapters across the country on college campuses. We are an affiliate with the Detroit chapter of DSA.

Our goal is to destroy the capitalist system which currently oppresses billions across the globe by liberating the working class through revolutionary struggle. We aim for a world devoid of want and misery, and believe this can only be truly achieved by establishing socialism. This will transition us to a society free of markets, borders, classes, and all other oppressive structures that are currently present - in a word, communism.
